The Big Apple has always been the city to launch new trends, often created by jumping from one club to another in the historic and crazy New York nights. Within this eclectic mixture of music, video art and design, the collection Two Women and Two Men has taken shape for the Spring Summer ’18 season. The reference years are those between the 1980s and 1990s when the place for the trendsetters, designers, artists and musicians was surely 21 st street, where the legendary club Danceteria on four floors is found and where Madonna, Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, Sonic Youth, The Cult, Softcell, the Beastie Boys, and Jean- Michael Basquiat found their success.
Authentic denim is the undisputed star of this SS18 season, recreated according to the typical trends of those years. All the men/women clothes are created in denim that goes from 6 to 13 ounces, presented in faded washes, whitened and enriched with tears, writing and stains, just like those worn by the young “rebels” who starred during this legendary New York season. There are also clothes made in gabardine, bull, striped indigo colored and made even more precious by funky pop embroidery. Within this mixture of proposals, the brand sweeps from the NYC clubs to the East Village streets, when a bubbly cultural air was found in this neighborhood and where everyone had their own fascinating and unique story to tell.
